Minimizing Conflict Through The Power Of Mediation
We at Sterba & Swope, LLP, are Certified Family Mediators in the State of Indiana, qualifying us to conduct mediations for outside counsel and self-represented parties, as well as uniquely qualifying us to assist our own clients through the mediation process with others.
Family Law Mediation: What To Know
Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution in which parties (with or without the assistance of individual counsel) work with an independent third-party (mediator) who assists them in reaching agreements on as many issues as possible.
Mediation is more informal and provides nearly infinite flexibility in crafting agreements that are tailored to the circumstances of peoples’ lives when compared with litigation. Mediation is also a wholly confidential process in which parties can negotiate freely, without the ability to use statements or positions in any future proceedings.
